WEBurlesque: SHOWcase ep. 2 feat. Artemisia LeFay and GHOSTS OF WEIMAR PAST
Viktor Devonne sits with chanteuse-producer Artmesia LeFay to discuss the next incarnation of her original 4-person show Ghosts of Weimar Past, echoing the queer Berlin cabarets of the 1920s. This production features the Orchestra of the Depraved: Mary Spencer Knapp on accordion, Hannah Mount on piano, and Tiffany Weiss on violin, in addition to LeFay’s vocal prowess and original script interwoven with era-specific songs from composers from Spoliansky to Weill.
WEBurlesque: SHOWcase ep. 1 feat. Cherry Valentine and THE EVIL AMONG US
Viktor Devonne sits with first-time virtual producer Cherry Valentine to discuss her foray into high concept digital burlesque. Cherry takes the roles of star, writer, and director of The Evil Among Us, premiering on March 6, 2022. This original burlesque fairytale short film also features Betty Brash, Lady Slay, Curly Bright, Fatal Dreams, and Danny Fox-Trot as the denizens of this strange new world.
Cherry Valentine celebrates ten years in burlesque, and has been seen across the country as a cast member of Cosplay Burlesque and White Elephant Burlesque productions. She won the “Pop Culturalist” award in honor of her career of nerdlesque and fandom burlesque acts at the 2021 Silver Tusk Awards.
a) The Ghost in the Attic The Whitefaced Tornado, as dubbed by Tigger!, Viktor is celebrating 14 years as director of White Elephant Burlesque. He is a recent Southern California transplant, and was declared Mr Hollywood Burlesque 2019. Long before the clown white, he experienced a surprise in the attic of his Connecticut home.
b) A Warning Oliver Swisskey lives in central New Jersey. Dubbed the Boy Who Lives Next Door, to the Brothel and known for his series of cosplay burlesque performances, one memorable occasion happened offstage.
c) Backstage Ghost Cosplaying and glam rock burlesque entertainer, Mx. Macabre lives in New York City. During a stop at one of their regular stages for a show, they discovered a prescence in the dressing room.
Luscious Lane is a New York burlesque performer, frequently seen with Les Femmes Fatales. A burlesque dancer and a baker, she seems to live in a home with substantial paranormal activity.
b) Library Ghost
Isobel Valo is a Boston burlesque performer. Seen solo and as a supporting cast member of Rogue Burlesque Isobel describes herself as “Part Viking, part librarian, and all goth.”
c) The Rooster
Eyrie Twilight is producer of the occult and witchcraft themed burlesque show Hexwork, which tours DC, Pennsylvania, NJ, and beyond. She admits her spiritual visitations tend to be on the more rurally domesticated side.
a) HAUNTED AT THE CINEMA Holly Ween is known as the scream queen of WEBurlesque, from cosplay recreations to burlesque interpretations of classic horror and pop culture figures. It seems only right that before she was winning Entertainer of the Year at the Silver Tusk Awards and Miss Vagina Dentata, she found herself working at the movie theater that would play some of her favorite fright films.
b) OUIJA BOARD Peter Costa went from child actor to professional drummer. While living in north New Jersey, he experienced a family greeting from beyond that he would recall for years to come.
c) AUNT SALLY IN THE MIRROR Regina Stargazer is a multi-talented performer in New Jersey, who has performed in burlesque, drag, and as a clown. One of the founding members of White Elephant Burlesque, Regina won the New Jersey Burlypicks title for Best in Comedy, and the Many Faced God award at the Silver Tusks. Years earlier, as a child, she would speak to a woman regularly in her house, who no one could see.
C’etait BonTemps is Pastel Priestex of Burlesque & Drag who traveled from Orlando to Brooklyn to be known as an emcee and entertainer who specializes in the dark and spooky, going so far as to win the Silver Tusk Award for Strangest Thing. He made one mistake while summoning a guardian angel, however.

Margot Starlux began her career in Philadelphia as a modern dancer who turned to lindy hop & go-go between performances with the Peek-A-Boo Revue and the Looking Glass Revue. Before she was shimmying in fringe, she was in a house with several unnatural occurrences.
c) The Many Hauntings of Miss Vivian
Miss Vivian is a dominatrix, model, and sideshow burlesque performer who has been touched by the supernatural most thoroughly through the years.
a) The Living Statue Brooklyn nightlife performer Buona Sara is a burlesque dancer and stage manager. One day, we found herself face to face with what should have been inanimate.
b) Haunted at the Haunt New Orleans burlesque performer, producer, and meatball chef Dick Jones found themselves in a city of magic when they moved to The Big Easy. While working in a haunt, they discovered they were sharing a space with someone who wasn’t part of the cast.
c) Stop That Weird Shit Philadelphia’s own Zsu Zsu Zatanna has experienced much of the otherworld. She tells you a story of some of her most memorable encounters.
a) Sleep Paralysis at The In-law Apartment A core member of Massachusetts’s Slaughterhouse Society, the special effects art monster known as Michael Geary has been raising hairs in the Boston area for years. However, there was a time when he was the one who was spooked.
b) That’s Just Bucky The glamorous beauty Gwen Ruby has been seen on stages all over Southern California and beyond, knocking them dead as a member of the Hollywood Jane Revue. A longstanding cast member of the Rocky Horror cast Sins o’ the Flesh, Gwen–while living in a friend’s guest house–she found her involved in different kind of audience participation.
c) Before You Go to Bed, You See The Ring Nerdlesque and neoburlesque superstar Georgia O’Queef is a founding member of the Hollywood Jane Revue. Georgia may run Los Angeles’ burlesque storytelling show “Loose Lips,” but there was a time when she was scared speechless.
